Here at Oxford College, we’re not all about courses and learning – we like to give back to the community too. That’s why we have a featured charity each month and for every like we get on Facebook we donate 50p. Oxford College’s featured Charity is Little Miracles is a parent led support group and Charity for families with children that have additional needs, disabilities and life limiting conditions. Oxford College is pleased to announce that they are our featured April charity.
They run daily sessions from their purpose built centre in Peterborough. They also have branches in Soham and Ramsey. At Little Miracles, the whole family is welcome to come and chat, play and socialise. There are always meaningful activities chosen by the families.
You might have heard about Little Miracles when they were featured on BBC’s 2013 Children in need special – you can see the video here.
Little Miracles is currently supporting over support over 900 families with around 3000 children between them! Many of the families they work with are living in poverty as a result of caring for a disabled child and so Little Miracles provide their services for free. Support the whole family with meaningful activities for the children, benefits and grant advice for the parents and sessions for the siblings Little Miracles really is a life line for many families.
We’re really pleased to work with Little Miracles – if you want to help all you need to do is ‘Like’ our facebook page this month. For every like, we donate 50p.
