Introduction
This diploma is designed to explore Neurolinguistic Programming. NLP is used to enhance and develop successful personal and professional development. It involves the practice of understanding how people organise their thinking, feeling, language and behaviour to produce the results they do. You will learn about how internal mental maps and model outstanding performances.

- A review of how to use different aspects of Neurolinguistic Programming
This course consists of Ten Units and is a qualification awarded by Oxford Learning College, in its own right; with the quality assurance of a leading awarding body (CIE Global) that hallmarks this professional qualification.
Assessment Objectives (AO)
AO: 1
Students must select and demonstrate clearly relevant knowledge and understanding through the use of evidence, examples and correct language and terminology appropriate to the course of study. This assessment, involves two written assignments: one halfway through the course and following the final unit. Both are assessed and graded by the assigned tutor, according to college procedures.
AO: 2
Students must critically evaluate and justify a point of view through the use of evidence and reasoned argument. Students can include evidence in different formats to support their written work such as documentation or images to support their course.
Quality of Written Communication (QWC)
In addition, OLC require students’ to produce written material in English, candidates must: ensure that text is legible and that spelling, punctuation and grammar (SPG) are accurate so that meaning is clear; select and use a form and style of writing appropriate to studying a complex subject matter; organise information clearly and coherently, using specialist vocabulary when appropriate and Harvard referencing of citation and sources. In this Specification, SPG will be assessed in all tutor marked assignments (TMAs)

Accredited Level 3 Neuro-Linguistic Programming Diploma Entry Requirement
Entry to this Accredited Level 3 Neuro-Linguistic Programming Diploma requires that potential students have gained GCSE/IGCSE or equivalent qualifications and have, good English oral, reading and writing skills.
Advice on enrolment and guidance of prior learning (APL) can be obtained through out contact centre. The course is a rolling programme and can be started at any point in the year. Successful students can go on to Higher Education, including remaining as students at OLC to complete courses in our portfolio of higher awards.
All students must be aged 16 or over.
Assesment
The coursework is assessed through continuous assessment with no formal exit examinations.
Study Hours
Approximately: 200 hours of personal study time for the entire course is recommended. All of which is supported by the OLC Course Tutor, who we greatly encourage students to access support from throughout their course.

Accredited Level 3 Neuro-Linguistic Programming Diploma Unit 1: History, Definition and Scope of NLP
In this unit you will learn about the historical background and emergence of NLP and the concepts underpinning its development. The core elements of NLP are discussed, along with the scope and situational contexts that may be appropriate for its use.
Accredited Level 3 Neuro-Linguistic Programming Diploma Unit 2: NLP Models
Within this unit you will explore and gain understanding of NLP models and have confidence in the application of these models holistically and contextually.
Accredited Level 3 Neuro-Linguistic Programming Diploma Unit 3: Setting the Pace and Communication
Through this unit you will be able to review the major component of NLP which is communication. You will learn how there are a variety of communication types, such as rapport, pacing and matching, all of which are examined within this unit.
Accredited Level 3 Neuro-Linguistic Programming Diploma Unit 4: Values and Belief Systems
Here you will discover and examine the various beliefs and values, and considers their relevance to NLP. You will research Maslow’s hierarchy of needs is explained; additionally various theories of attachment are described too.
Accredited Level 3 Neuro-Linguistic Programming Diploma Unit 5: Modalities
In this unit you will learn how to address our learning styles, as well as the subject of modalities in more detail.
Accredited Level 3 Neuro-Linguistic Programming Diploma Unit 6: Different Levels within NLP
You will explore the presentation of generic levels of the therapeutic approach. The relationship between the different NLP levels, the hierarchy of needs and timeframes of achievement will be explained.
Accredited Level 3 Neuro-Linguistic Programming Diploma Unit 7: Understanding Language
This unit allows you to explore and contextualise the acquisition of language in relation to its meaning and understanding within personal experience and cognition. You will review the various types of communication component within this unit also.
Accredited Level 3 Neuro-Linguistic Programming Diploma Unit 8: Programmes, Principles and Practice
Here you will gain knowledge of ethical responsibilities of the NLP practitioner. You will gain the ability to structure a generic NLP programme which may be adapted to suit specific client needs.
Accredited Level 3 Neuro-Linguistic Programming Diploma Unit 9: Modelling, Reframing and Change
This unit explains the techniques of reframing, modelling and anchoring, which are key to successful NLP practice. You will refer to modelling and framing in relation to change.
Accredited Level 3 Neuro-Linguistic Programming Diploma Unit 10: Specific Applications
In this final unit you will review what skills you have learnt through the previous units and put into your knowledge into this last unit. Here you will review appropriate techniques described for each scenario.
Assessment
The coursework is assessed through continuous assessment with no formal exit examinations. Through assessment you will cover certain criteria such as:
- Theoretical Knowledge/ Understanding
- Practical Implications
- Integration of Theory and Practice.
Assignments
The course has TWO Tutor Marked Assignment (TMA); which are graded: Pass or Fail. The grading procedure if Pass or Fail. Your grade will depend upon if the criteria set has been met and the decision of your tutor. If you Fail an assessment you have the opportunity to amend where your tutor has highlighted and resubmit.

Progression
This Accredited Level 3 Neuro-Linguistic Programming Diploma can be used to gain entry to a Level 4 Diploma or higher.
