What if I have Failed my Examinations?!

failed my examinations

With the examination period coming to an end, you may have finally finished all your exams or just have one or two left to go. This is usually the time when your thoughts start turning to worry and stress about how you actual did! You might be asking yourself ‘what if I have failed my examinations?!’.

It’s safe to say, you can usually gauge whether you did OK in an exam or if you did terribly. It doesn’t take a Rocket Scientist to know that if you only put down 200 words as an answer to a 1500 word question, you’re not going to be on your way to an A*.

So, what can you do to boost your CV and options after Results Day?

Well, as crazy as it sounds, you there are things you can do and action to give yourself a safety net. You can study a few Level 3 Diploma courses through the summer. These are a great way to boost your CV and show universities or employers you’re all about learning.

If you’re absolutely sure you flunked on one of your A-Levels, then why not beat the rush and enrol on a Fast Track A-Level in the same subject in preparation for re-sitting your examinations in January. Enrolling early will ensure you don’t miss a place and that you can start studying early to get that better grade.

Had enough of A-Levels and all the examinations? Well that doesn’t mean you have to give up on university, it just means you have to choose a different path. Enrol on a BTEC HNC course or an Accredited Level 4&5 Diploma that is equivalent to a Foundation Degree and use that as your way into university.
